This review is from: Drop Out (Audio CD)
Sell all those crap records that Pitchfork and Spin conned you into buying and purchase this baby. You won't be disappointed. If you like well-crafted British guitar pop this is sorta the Missing Link between the late 80's c-86 scene and the 90's Alt/ Brit Pop craze. While Teenage Fanclub was pilfering Sonic Youth for their first record, East Village was developing a sound that the Fannies would cash in on with "Grand Prix" and "Songs From Northern Britain". Sadly East Village disappeared without a trace. But not before leaving us this brilliant artifact. For those about to jingle jangle, I salute you.
