5.0 out of 5 stars Dropps are a great new solution!
I live in a tiny studio apartment on the top floor of my building, so I was really excited when I got a sample of dropps in the mail from Bzz Agent to try. They're wonderful! I can fit detergent for as many loads as the regular stuff in a box about 1/4 of the size (and less than a pound!) No lugging big jugs up to my apartment and then trying to hide them under the...

2.0 out of 5 stars Casing does not dissolve in cold water
I've noticed the the clear casing does not dissolve in cold water very well. Goopy, unattractive splotches of sticky stuff attach to my clothes and I need to send it through the wash again or wash them manually-- not convenient.

Since using cold water to do one's laundry is better for the environment than using hot water (less energy spent), it's ironic that...

I can fit detergent for as many loads as the regular stuff in a box about 1/4 of the size (and less than a pound!) No lugging big jugs up to my apartment and then trying to hide them under the bed- the dropps can fit right in my laundry basket!

I love that they are better for the environment, while at the same time being super handy and no mess!

The only thing I was a bit dissappointed about was the smell- I couldn't smell the fresh scent at all- so I've decided to buy the un-scented from now on and use fabric sheets to get my "fresh Scent."

Overall- I highly reccomend dropps. Great invention!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth Every Penny!, June 8, 2007
dropps are wonderful, and you don't need fabric softener or a dryer sheet with them! All you do is drop one in the washer and your clothes are taken care of. It's nice not to lug a big jug of laundry detergent around, these little guys just dissolve in the wash. And your clothes turn out great. I even used the unscented ones for the baby's wash and had no problems. I'm sold on dropps!!

5.0 out of 5 stars dropps, February 14, 2007
Works just as well-if not better-than any laundry detergent out there. I have arthritis and lugging those 5-pound detergent containers around was painful for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars dropps are a great deal, February 14, 2007
Dropps really are a great deal- since they are pre-measured per load i know that in each box of dropps i will be getting a FULL 20 loads of laundry done (unlike messy, unruly jugs). Plus they are small and convenient and i don't have to worry about finding space for a gigantic jug in my tiny apartment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better idea and perfect for us, January 19, 2008

The dropps product has been a real success in our house. It does a good job and I do notice less wear on the clothes than we'd suffered with standard detergents. I also like making our waste water less hazardous. This will become especially important in some parts of the country where they are going to try to clean and reuse waste water.
But for us, the single most valuable thing about this product is the pre-measured, dissolvable packets. My mentally handicapped daughter is perfectly capable of doing most of her own housekeeping chores, but has a real problem with portion. If a little is good, a lot is better. I've been pre-measuring detergent into baggies for years now to protect the laundry from having a half a box of soap poured in. Now these little packets are perfect for her to use, easy to store and mistake proof.
My only complaint is that in every package there is at least one or two packets that have broken open and made all the other packets wet and slimy. I don't know if there's a way to fix that, but it seems a small thing for all the good we get.

This is a great product. Easy to use for college students, and lazy people such as myself. Plus -- good for the environment.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Have a Subscription So I'll Never Run Out, October 12, 2008
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Dropps Laundry Pacs, Fresh Scent, 20-load pouch (pack of 3) (Health and Beauty)
I got my first shipment almost a year ago. All three packages arrived safe and sound. Since then, I put these on subscription because I like them so much! I have never had any broken or leaking capsules. I like them because the bag stands up and doesn't take up much room on my dryer. I just store the extra bags above the washer in a cabinet. Just one dropp cleans a whole load of clothes just fine. I think one time I washed 5 pairs of dirty jeans in one load and I used 2 Dropps for that one -- normal loads though work fine with just a single Dropp. I like the fragrance too but would not mind if it was stronger and lasted longer. I do still use a Bounce Dryer Sheet. Maybe I don't need to but I like Bounce and haven't felt like trying to do my clothes or sheets without it.

Most particularly, I really like not having to clean up spilled laundry detergent when I overload the measuring cup. I also had a tendency to forget to screw down the lid tight on the huge jug and once I accidentally knocked the thing off my dryer. What a mess that was to clean up! I've actually dropped a couple of the Dropps on the floor, too. They just plopped down and didn't break.

The Disolving Dropps work wonderfully for me. I like the fact, too that there is much less packaging waste with this product. I have given samples to several of my friends at work and recommend this product highly.

4.0 out of 5 stars a great find for college students, September 15, 2007
We found this product while packing three kids up for college. I was worried about my 2 sons spilling the liquid detergent all over the place or using too much in the wash. These are easy to use and fool proof!

4.0 out of 5 stars Works great, June 30, 2008

It is a bit pricey, my only fault with it. I got them for my husband to use, he had a stroke 19 years ago and is now paralyzed on one side. He wants to do his own laundry, but it is hard for him to pour the liquid in and remember how much to use. With this, he just pops a tab in, turns it on, and uses a dryer sheet in dryer in place of fab softner in the washer. It is worth the price to me to make it easy for him, and it works well also. I also like it is 'green', not much waste and safe to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for laundromat life, June 16, 2008
If your laundry room is not in your house, you will be very happy with this product. Rather than carrying a big bottle with you to the laundry room/laundromat, or measuring out your liquid in advance, you just have to grab a couple of the little soap-grenades contained in a laundry dropps bag.

If you live in a house where you have your own washer and dryer, I think this product is unnecessary and probably a waste of money (though I haven't priced it out compared to regular store brands).

It's true that the instructions recommend using two dropps on a large load, but I've read in many sources that you don't need to use as much detergent as the soap companies would like you to think, so I always just do my load with one dropp regardless of how big it is. My girlfriend doesn't think I stink, so I think that is a safe way to go.

All last year I would lug my Tide bottle down to the basement of my apartment building, forget to bring it back up, and then go down a few days later to find out that other people had used up the whole thing on their own laundry. So in that sense laundry dropps save me a lot of money because I don't lose my detergent all the time.

Be aware that the dropps need to be handled carefully. If you need to transport them some great distance, use a tupperware container or something so they don't get squished. But you can put them in a jacket pocket or something if it's just a little bit, they're actually more sturdy than I was expecting.
