Absorbing and fascinating reading from start to finish!,
By Hiram Gomez Pardo (Valencia, Venezuela) - See all my reviews (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (TOP 1000 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Drucker, the man who invented the corporate society (Mass Market Paperback)
Tarrant has made until this date, the most compelling, complete and absorbing essay about the greatest Guru of the management: Peter Drucker. His penetrating analysis goes from the youthful years of Drucker, his involvement with the Salzburg Festival, his beginnings as advisor, his serious and deep reflections about the eventual development of the Industrial Society, his first disagreements with the GM as well as his sharp cites, the way he regards the computer, the Executive stress, the theory of the administrator and his experiences as professor and consulter. The book has just a limitation: it spans Drucker's experience until 1977. But apart this minor impediment, you will find that reading fascinating and prodigal in concepts and observations. A must- read for all those who wants to approach the universe of the Management, even in these times of globalization.
