PDR Drug Guide for Mental Health Professionals, 3rd ed. (Pdr Drug Guide for Mental Health Professionals),

I love this book. I use it all the time. I especially like the pics of the meds since many clients come in saying they took "the orange pill". It helps identify what meds they are taking. I often use it to educate my clients about the medication, the side-effects, what to look for, what to avoid, how to take it. It helps me support my clients more. I highly recommend it.

I highly recommend this book for professionals who work in the mental health field or for those who work in Child Protection or a related field that might need a quick reference for medications that their clients might be on if you aren't already familar with it.

PDR Drug Guide for Mental Health Professionals
This is a smaller version of the Physician PDR specifically for Mental Health practicianers. It is up to date, easy to use and is the first source I use regarding medication. I order one every year...every year more psychotrophic medications become available.

Want to make it better?,

This is compact, accurate and simple to reference. The various chapters and tables integrate well with other non-psychiatric medications. If they want to make it better, develop a downloadable version for my Palm Smartphone that is upgradeable when new information comes out.
