5.0 out of 5 stars Best drug reference for dentistry, August 26, 2010

This review is from: Drug Information Handbook for Dentistry 2010-2011, 16th edition (Paperback)
I've stopped looking for the best drug reference book for dentistry; this is it. In addition to the usual descriptions for each drug, potential drug interactions with (e.g., anesthetics with vasoconstrictors) and effects on oral tissues are provided. Nowadays it seems that most people are taking at least one medication, and many, several medications; all of them are in this book to help you provide safe treatment of these many medically compromised patients. Additionally, nonprescription drug information is provided as well as for "alternative medicines" which are popular today. Suggested treatments for many oral conditions are provided, along with sample prescriptions. You can't beat this book; it's a great time-saver, as well as being complete and up-to-date with its annual revisions. A "must have" for all dental professionals.
