Book Description

April 1, 2005
Drug Related is an intriguing, fast-paced journey of mystery and high-powered action. In his third novel, Roy Glenn returns us to the world he created in Is It A Crime, but introduces the reader to a new main character, Nick Simmons, a former Army special operations officer turned private investigator. Nick is hired by Mrs. Gabrielle Childers to find her missing brother, Jake Rollins. Mrs. Childers believes that her husband, Chilly, who is involved in the drug business, is in some way connected with his disappearance. The story begins with Nick being released on bail from police custody. Nick recounts for his lawyer, Wanda Moore (Is It A Crime), the events which lead him to be the only suspect in four drug related murders. Their conversations throughout the story also give Nick a chance to face the old demons he'd left ten years before.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh My !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, May 29, 2005
This review is from: Drug Related (Paperback)
First, and formost I've gotta give it to Mr. Glenn, his writing skills are off the chain!! The drama and the unfolding of events. I mean I was glad that I had read "Is It A Crime" first because "Drug Relate" was the sequel so I thought. Now I'm about to go crazy, I need you to hurry up with "Payback"! Your characters became so real. I wish one day you would turn your books into a movie! It's like you become one of the characters in the book. Keep up the excellent work and don't worry about the HATERS w/any type of negativity. You are my boy and Nikki Turner is my girl! I am a true die hard fan, I love to read because reading relaxes the mind!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pat Tucker goes for A WILD RIDE... with DRUG RELATED, November 30, 2005
This review is from: Drug Related (Paperback)
I enjoyed Drug Related, it makes me want to go back and read other books by Roy Glenn.

Nick Simmons tells the story of his arrest with his attorney Wanda after he's released from jail-the story is told in a dated journal format, which I liked.

The format did require me to pay attention to the story which wasn't a task because I read the book in two days (only b/c I had to work it took so long)

Nick is a former Army specialist who is hired by Gabrielle Childers, the wife of drug dealer Chilly... Gabrielle wants Nick to locate her missing chemist brother, Jake, she believes her husband is involved in his disappearance.

Nick soon discovers Jake and Chilly were working on some kind of synthetic form of crack... without giving the story away.. a bunch of twists and turns and murders later, we discover the mystery behind this street saga.

I liked that the story basically sets the stage for the sequel: Payback... so much so that I've already pre ordered mine.

~*~ Roy Glenn, add me to your growing list of fans ... I want more!!! ~*~

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME, October 12, 2005
This review is from: Drug Related (Paperback)
I just couldn't stop reading Mr. Glenn books, first Is It a Crime: A Street Saga was "THE BOMB" then he followed it up with Drug Related which I read in two days because I just couldn't put the book down, the way the book filled in the blanks from Is It a Crime was great, but by leaving the readers hanging at the end about Shy & Black and family, it is truly a crime, all I can say is one word "PAYBACK". As a fellow reviewer stated Roy keep em' coming!
