5.0 out of 5 stars A Terrific Resource for Parents, June 19, 2004

This review is from: Drugproof Kids: The Ultimate Prevention Handbook for Parents to Protect Children from Addictions (Paperback)
As a parent, I have an intense interest in making sure my two kids stay away from drug use. I saw this book advertised in a parenting magazine and thought it might have some tips I could use. The price was low enough to take the chance.

I think it's an absolutely a must-have. It's written in a "Five Minute Manager" sort of style, so you can pick out the problems and related solutions quickly. I've used three or four of the tips already -- so far, so good! It's easy to refer back to for a refresher. Highly recommended. It's definitely worth the small investment.

This is a guide book, almost a dictionary for those interested in obtaining more information regarding drug prevention and drug use and how to deal with it.

It is an easy to read and follow book with understandable small chapters that answer your questions on drug abuse and prevention.

Even if there is not a problem at home with this issue, it should be read to hopefully prevent it from happening. The best thing is that it explains and also gives short examples so understanding is easier.

I will re-read it again and again to put its recommendations into practice at home.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dr Spock for the drug generation, June 20, 2004

Frank Simonelli has written the parent's handbook for preventing their kids from falling into the dark world of drugs. This is a book every parent should have and read.
Mr. Simonelli approaches the problem of drug abuse from the whole family approach. Stressing self-esteem and a positive approach to head off problems rather then a "scolding" too late reaction to a child's experimenting with drugs.
