5.0 out of 5 stars Funny album that brings back happy memories, September 23, 2010

Eric Bogosian, more than most comedians, really captured the mood of the late 1980's. Listen to this album and be taken back in time.

My favorite track is "Stag Party." But most of the other tracks are also quite good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff, though maybe a little dated, August 1, 2003

Bogosian does about 10 character pieces as a solo performer. They are generally effective, riveting and funny. One or two get mildly self-indulgent, but in general, it's good material, and even bears up to multiple listenings. "Pounding Nails Into the Floor with My Forehead," Bogosian's follow-up spoken word CD is not nearly as strong, with more limping, uninspired pieces overshadowing the few bright moments. S, D, R&R, though is a classic, worth hearing, or watching on video.
