2.0 out of 5 stars Utterly boring..., March 29, 2008
By
This review is from: Drugs in Society: Causes, Concepts and Control (Paperback)
This is the second text I've come across (in my course requirements, not by choice) and once again it is entirely boring, grammatically uninteresting and occassional errors can even be found. I agree with another reviewer that institutions shouldn't choose books merely because the text fits the class description. Rather, professors should have the freedom to choose the required text. I literally dread reading this book and have come to the point that I basically skim and find answers because actual reading is painfully boring.

2.0 out of 5 stars Boring!, June 16, 2005
This review is from: Drugs in Society: Causes, Concepts and Control (Paperback)
Compared to other texts of the same nature, this one was boring and dry. Instructors & institutions should take care to select teaching texts that will set the spark of interest in the student. This one won't. It's a b/chore to read.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased this book and another for a class I am taking on line. I was told the books would arrive on a certain date and I received them five days before I anticipated. I was elated! I appreciated that so much because I was in my second week of class. Thanks so much!
