I purchased this book to help me study for the DSST exam on Substance Abuse. It was very informative, well organized, and an easy read. I learned a lot from this book and I highly recommend it to people studying for the DSST exam, or people just looking to learn more about the history, use, and trends of every drug ever used. Food for thought, I passed the test with flying colors.

I was assigned readings from this book for my Biopsychosocial aspects of addictions class in graduate school for counseling. Compared to other textbooks, it is a relatively easy read, and there's a great deal of helpful information contained in it. My only complaints for the book thus far are that the chapters on physiology and anatomy include a great deal of information that assumes the reader already has a basis of knowledge in anatomy, biology, and physiology and certain terms aren't defined in context. Also, the book does not contain a great deal of information on "club drugs" such as ecstasy, ketamine, PCP, etc.

Great condition!! A little highlighting but all words and pages is there clearly to read!! Great price for the condition of book!! Great buy!! :)

I used this book in my studies for the DSST Substance Abuse test. It was very helpufl and I loved the chapter summaries, however it was quite a bit more in-depth than what I needed for the test. Thankfully, I was fairly aware of that at the beginning of my studies, so I did not wast too much time studying the areas that I didn't need to.

One big benefit of this book is the accompanying website. The audio chapter summaries and chapter quizes were excellent!

This book was better than advertised. It didn't look like it had been used. Excellent condition and fast delivery. Thank you.

i think this book would be nice for like someone who wants to know more about drugs, the brain, the body. and how everything works. its pretty interesting....i'm not much a ready, i usually fall asleep but this seem was decent enough to like keep me reading on and on.

This product was great. I love the text in the book. It is interesting and it is placed in an easy to understand format. The text is relatable to the society and I would definitly suggest this book to someone else!

My roommate paid $113 for this at the university bookstore, I bought this for $5. I'm currently getting an A while hes got a C. No matter what, even the 13th Edition needs to be updated so your professor will fill that in with most current 2008-2009 data.

It was in great condition. This book will work in place of the 13th edition and is much cheaper.
