An excellent general overview, covering drug use and regulation, pharmacological basics, in-depth analyses of the legal drugs, tranquilizers and stimulants, narcotics, hallucinogens, and marijuana, and comments on "a rational look at drug use." Well-documented with an abundance of relevant quotes and statistics; a rich set of references follow each chapter.

Excellent textbook students pursuing counseling or health care service field. Excellent general information and foundation to start up an advance field of study. An excellent book for general reading fore anyone interested to pursue addiction counseling for drugs and alcohol. Recommended for a great reference all in one text. Excellent highly recommended.

Great book. Very easy class. I took this online as a class and it is extremely easy. The book itself is very informative. I really did learn a lot about substances and the effects they have on the human body.

This book has good information and was the text for a course but I found the presentation of the information confusing.

For the price I got this book for, it exceeded my expectations. Although I recieved two warnings that the good majority of the pages had some sort of writing or highlighting, it was much better than I expected. I appreciate that the seller made sure that I knew the exact condition of the book, but I also got a great deal on it.

I bought this textbook for a class I had to take and can say that it is very informative, but a little dry.

My merchandise came in a timely fashion, unlike the statistics book that ive been waiting on for 2 weeks. its a used book. but contains no markings in chapters. the front cover is bent but in good condition none the less.
