4.0 out of 5 stars classic d n'b
I can't even begin to express the importance of this album to the US dn'b scene. An ABSOLUTE must have for any bass head. This album, in retrospect, paved the way for Dieselboys current status as one of America's best dn'b dj's. If you don't own it- buy it. NOW! There is no excuse for any head to not have this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice
Im starting to get into DnB.So far everythin is good, and Im really starting to like it, especially Dieselboy's work. The sixth session is great, another album you should get. Well with this, I would say its good. It doesn't have the full blown out bass and isn't dark. To me it sounds sort of like chillout music/dnb. Better description is, like you ever hear Acid...

Dieselboy, representing 611 Records (Philly), is a favorite DJ in rave-lineups. This album offers smooth, groovy hip-hop/d&b to an audience that can really appreciate this type of music. plur to all junglists out there!

This CD was so tiite! I've been lovin Dieselboy for a year now and I just bought this old CD and I love it! The greatest thing I've done in my life! Dieselboy knows how to drop them beats and If you're a new Drum n' Bass lover you'd better go out and buy this CD! Don't miss it for the world! I loved 97 Octane just as much! The 6ixth Session was allrite but I kinda got sick of it! System Upgrade was really cool!

5.0 out of 5 stars Dieselboy is on point!, March 5, 2000

Smooth blending and a tasteful selection of tunes is what makes Dieselboy a master at his craft. This is the way a continuous mix should be done, because I can't stand DJ's who don't know how to match beats or interrupt the sessions with unecessary chatter. Dieselboy's blending is on time and flawless. This compilation features some tough jump up tunes with classic hip hop/ragga samples being carried on top of the breakbeats. My favorite roller on this mix has to be Remarc's "In Da Hood". Lot's of snappy snares and amen business!

5.0 out of 5 stars This was my introduction to drum and bass, August 4, 2004

I'm a drum and bass Dj, and this is the album that made me realize drum and bass is definitely the way of the future. God bless Dieselboy for this. Also, I must say that his first two releases are classic flawless examples of a skilled drum and bass Dj. Bytheway, you can still jump up to these tunes even today. That's really saying something in a genre where a tune is considered passe about as soon as it's been released. But, then again... thats why I'm an everyday junglist.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rough Bouncy and Still Fresh, April 16, 2006

Ive had this CD for years, and ive recently gotten a little tired of the evil chaos pad sound that has become so popular in DnB, so I popped this one in again, and ~ahhhh~ like a breath of fresh air. I miss good jungle.
The bass rolls smooth and powerful, and the pace keeps you moving. Lots of hip-hop/rap influence helps keep this one real ~ no evil dungeonmasters here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jungle MASSIVE, October 18, 2005
This review is from: Drum & Bass Selection Usa (Audio CD)
This is definitely Dieselboy's BEST album ever, no question. The mixing is flawless and the track selection is insane. But, mind you, this album isn't like any of his others---it's a fresh Hip-Hop influenced Jungle sound. If you're a true Drum & Bass head then this album is just for you.
