RUSS MILLER DID DRUMMERS AN IMMESURABLE SERVICE WHEN HE WROTE THIS BOOK. BOTH AS A RECORDING DRUMMER AND INSTRUCTOR, I HAVE BENIFITED TREMENDOUSLY FROM THIS GREAT RESOURCE. RUSS STARTS WITH THE SIMPLEST EXPLANATIONS OF MEASURES, NOTES, RESTS, AND TIME FUNDAMENTALS; THEN, PROCEEDS TO LAY SOLID FOUNDATIONS IN A WIDE VARIETY OF STYLES OF DRUMMING. IF YOUR A STUDENT LOOKING TO LEARN AN EXPANSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF GROOVES AND FILLS, OR A GIGGING DRUMMER WHO WANTS TO FIND A NEW FLARE, THIS MANUAL WILL PROOVE TO BE A GREAT ASSET. I DON'T WANT TO SOUND CLICHE, BUT THIS BOOK REALLY IS A *MUST HAVE*. KUDOS TO RUSS MILLER
