I own this stand, and I purchased it through Amazon.

I've been playing electronic drums for over a year, and just got an acoustic kit, so I needed several pieces of hardware. I tried several hi hat stands and liked the feel of the DW better than the others.

This one is called heavy duty for a reason...it feels as solid as rock, and I have no concerns about mounting my new Zildjian A Customs on it. The 2 leg base combined with a 'flip up' style pedal give it a firm foundation that locks into place, and can be further secured by two screws for more permanent installations.

The action of the pedal and rods is smooth as silk and gives me just the right amount of counterweight feel when playing. I love the feel of this hi hat! As a bonus, my DW 3000 hi hat double pedal (slave) nestles perfectly into the side of this pedal, saving a little space on the floor.

Highly recommended.
