finally positive African Images, November 14, 2009
This review is from: Drums, dancers and a bird as big as you! A counting adventure in Africa (Perfect Paperback)
I am an school Librarian working in Kampala, Uganda and I, my students and my fellow teachers, love this book. The positive Ugandan images are what is so captivating. It is true to the Ugandan society and environment so is a very good teaching tool for children the world over. The explanations about each picture at the end of the book give the reader more depth about East Africa. It reminds me a bit of Ifeoma Onyefulu's books done in the West African setting. Well done authors!
