Ben Finklea (1974), was born in Dallas, Texas. He was the third of five children to a schoolteacher and his wife. He did well in school and worked his way through college by building websites and selling Apple computers to his fellow students at Texas A&M University. He graduated with a bachelors degree in Philosophy in 1997. After college, Ben worked at a few different jobs selling computers and software until he founded a software company in 2001. In 2005, he founded Volacci Search Marketing.
Although raised on proper grammar and a love of all things written, he didn't begin writing professionally until he was 34 years old. In 2009, while serving as the CEO of Volacci, Ben wrote Drupal 6 Search Engine Optimization which was published by Packt Publishing. He continues to run Volacci and plans on releasing additional books in the future.
