I bought a 6-cloth box of this to use at home on sweaters. The sweaters weren't stained, but they smelled a bit musty. The product was certainly easy to use, so that's good, and my sweaters look fine. Unfortunately, they smell much worse than they did before. It's an overpowering, sweet chemical stench, the kind that leaves you a bit nauseated and worried that inhaling it will cause brain damage. It hasn't dissipated in the four hours since I laundered the sweaters, despite my having thrown open all the windows in my house and hung the sweaters to air out. This isn't the usual dry cleaning odor--it's much stronger and much more unpleasant. Granted, I've never liked the smell of Glade or other chemical room fresheners, so maybe my response isn't typical. Still, this reeks. I'm going to take the sweaters to the cleaners to see if they can get rid of the odor. If you do decided to try this product, make sure to save the receipt so that you can get your money back if you can't tolerate the smell.
