Simply Brilliant!, June 23, 2000

The track 'Dry County' is quite simply one of Bon Jovi's finest hours. It incorporates meaningful lyrics, excellent backing from the rest of the band, and one of the most kicking guitar solos that you have every heard! This is then backed up with a selection of 4 tracks recorded at one of their Christmas concerts, and includes excellent versions of Richie Sambora's 'Stranger in this Town' and Jon Bon Jovi's 'Blood Money'. You also have two cover versions: 'It's Only Rock'n'Roll but I like it' and 'Waltzin Mathilda'. Both of these covers are absolutely excellent, 'Rock'n'Roll' features vocals from both Jon and Richie, but perhaps the biggest surprise on this CD is 'Waltzin Mathilda' sang by Tico Torres. This is so good that it has to be heard to be believed! All of this plus a live rendition of 'Dry County' recorded at Milton Keynes in England, with an even more powerful guitar solo! Awesome, buy it today, you won't know how you lived without it!
