I bought a this item at the ski shop at Snowbasin, Utah. After skiing the first day, plugged them in and one of the units did not heat at all (the light was illuminated, but the "stick" did not heat). The owners manual instructed users to call the customer service line with problems. I did that, and was treated by the person at Dry Guys like it was my fault that their product did not work. Very curt and unprofessional on the call. I would not do business with this company.

I agree with the reviewer who stated there are quality problems because his started to overheat right away. On first try one of the units on my set went stone cold. I metered it and got zero ohms, so there is a complete open internal to the one unit. I looked through one of the orange air slits and could see a hole melted into the heating coil area. Can't wait to see what they say when I call.

Just got these recently and I have to say they are very versatile. I used them to warm up shoes, dry gloves after snow sports, and even use them to hug my feet on cold nights. Problem is though there appears to be some quality issue. Just yesterday after a couple of hours' use (to dry up my gloves), I noticed that this thing has overheated and the orange cage that houses the heat element is now out of shape and started to buckle...

Recently spent a week in Utah skiing, boots were pretty wet at the end of each day. Boot dryers had my boots dry by the next morning. They are simple, compact, and cheap... not much more you can ask for.

I got these for my son's soccer shoes. They do the job of drying the shoes out overnight even after practice in the rain. They work by radiant heat, not forced air, so they are silent, which I like, but that means they require more time to dry.
