The product itself is great (5 stars). I use it to care for cashmere tops, pant suits, other delicates as long as they are not white and dirty (leave that to your dry cleaner).

However, $48 for a 2 pack is about $24 each. You can get it for half the price in Target, etc. So for that it's a 1 star. Don't bother buying it here. Try google or yahoo shopping if you must buy it online.

Averages out to three stars.

I used to use a vest for work that got pretty dirty and it was dry clean only. I got sick of bringing to the dry cleaner, and I was psyched to use this product.

Unfortunately Dryel didn't live up the hype. It didn't take out any of the big stains from the vest. It would take out some minor stains sometimes. The only thing it did do was make the vest smell better. It also didn't really take out any wrinkles in the vest either.

I really wanted this to work, but it just doesn't do the job.

They really should revise the packaging/marketing of this product to reflect what it's truly designed to do. In using this system I have found that it is designed for touch ups or to extend the amount of time *between* dry cleaning visits. As it is currently designed, this product can't and won't replace professional dry cleaning entirely, so they should avoid statements on the box like "dry cleaning at home" - cause that's just not gonna happen.

What it does well:

with clothes that have been worn 1- 3 or 4 times at that are not seriously smelly or stained, by using the bag and the moist sheet you can take out some odors and replace with a fresh scent.

using the stain remover you can spot treat BEFORE putting in the dryer. the stain remover is actually VERY good and takes out pretty much whatever I've thrown at it including pen stains, chocolate, fast food, etc.

you don't have to use the bag with the moist sheet but it does steam wrinkles out a little better if you do.

What it does NOT do:

from what I've experienced, the moist sheet and bag combo really do not take out stains at all from the clothes. in fact, you may actually set them in by applying heat to untreated stains.

I have often found the kits and refills on sale locally, so for what you get as far as a stain treatment and a fabric refresher it *can* be economical versus more frequent dry cleaning.

As long as your expectations are aligned with what Dryel can do I'd say it's a good product and pleased to recommended.
