You get what you pay for. I will be replacing this cheap antenna with a Diamond foldover dual band when I save up some money - much more expensive.

This antenna is only rated at 25 watts FM. I did not see that in the small print. I think I saw the 100 watts SSB when I read the description - my fault. But, who would make a mobile antenna for 2 meters that only handles 25 watts FM; China I guess.

My Kenwood dual bander runs 5w, 10w, or 50 watts FM. So, to stay within the specs, I need to run only 10 watts. Makes a difference on getting into or not hitting many repeaters in this mountainous area.

Would not recommend this antenna unless you run an HT mobile and then only if you want to drill a hole for this NMO mount.

I did install it and use it and my 10 watts can do OK if I am close enough. The SWR was good, 1.1-1.2:1 on 147 MHz(checked with MFJ 259B which only goes to 170 MHz).
