This is a really useful tool to learn meditation and quieting the mind in the midst of an active stimulating environment. The whole point is that you're racing a car and trying to beat other computer controlled cars around the track. With the skin conductance and heart rate monitor (which attaches to your fingertips) you control the car's speed. You increase your speed by slowing down your breathing, heart rate, and skin conductance and getting into a meditative state. Yet the faster you make your car go the louder the music becomes and the more exciting the games gets (i.e. the competition with other cars and drive to achieve the goal of finishing the race increases). And thus the better you do at racing the car the harder it gets to increase its speed due to the increasing difficulty of relaxing. This is directly applicable to test anxiety which is aided by learning to relax even in stressful situations.

However, if you are new to biofeedback (or don't have a lot of practice) consider starting with a program such as Healing Rhythms first. Dual Drive Pro is VERY challenging and takes practice before you can succeed. It may be discouraging at first, which isn't ideal when learning relaxation. Part of the difficulty though is also part of the appeal as the game is incredibly sensitive and gives almost instant feedback on the slightest increase in tension or excitation. It's fun.

I have used Healing Rhythms (Wild Divine), Particle Editor and Inner Tube (Somatic Visions) and I would rate them all highly. But this one is different, less relaxing with cars crashing and speeding, etc. Also not relaxing is the Somatic Visions procedure of requiring you to deactivate the program on one computer before putting it on another. At these prices this code annoyance has not been appreciated. The programs do work to reset one's nervous system. I just didn't enjoy crashing car therapy.
