I bought this for help with acid reflux, and it works admirably well. It is very comfortable, although it takes a bit of experimenting to find the right position. It also works very well when turned upside down as a back support for sitting upright.

However, I have developed a lower back problem since I started using this at night. The half-sitting position seems to be straining my back muscles. As a result, I can only give it a qualified recommendation. It may cause more problems than its worth.

Comfortable, and helps keep me on it rather than sliding off like other wedge pillows. I still slid down somewhat during the night, but this pillow was by far the best for me!

The wedge gives you soft support sitting up and lying in bed. It is also good for elevating the feet when they are swelled. I would have made it wider for sitting giving more room for a person with a larger shoulder span more wraparound support.

This pillow works great for me. I have arthritis of the neck as well as GERD. Using this pillow allows me a comfortable night's sleep. I would definitely recommend this item.

I looked around for wedge pillows for a bit before settling on this one. I must say, it is a great pillow. My husband referred to it as the Great Wall of China in our bed, but I sleep great on it. I will say, it is not very wide. I am a small person so it perfect for me, but I could see it might be small for some. I put my own pillow at the top and sleep comfortably. I do wake up once or twice in the night because my arm is asleep because I haven't moved from a position, but I am not a big mover anyhow. Very comfortable though, and the incline is perfect for me and is helping my reflux symptoms at night. And I noticed no funky smells. :)

Curved sides increased comfort however for a stomach sleeper, it was hard to stay up on this foam during sleep. If used for something other than sleeping, it works great. If you must be elevated during sleep, look for help elsewhere, like an adjustable bed if you can afford it.
