This is a system for those who want basic cd radio. I opted to return it only because I found one that offered more features also a Dual unit. This one plays limited recorded CD formats so make sure you read the product specs carefully. It has a very good bonus in that it has a POWER USB PORT on the face plate that can be used ONLY TO CHARGE a USB devise. The USB port WILL NOT PLAY A DEVICE but having the charger USB you can shop Walmart for an adaptor that has most of the connection charging type ends attacthed to it for about $20. I find DUAL offers many different units that can meet the users needs. Be sure to review them all and make the best choice. Delivery was fast and my return of the product was easy. The seller BUY.COM is kind enough to send an RMA via e-mail that is prepaid return UPS shipping reflecting their aim for full customer satisfaction. Got a full refund within 4 days of the seller receiving the unit back. Overall the unit is a very good deal for the basic end user. Another thing to mention is that being most units are aftermarket slightly differing from the one that came with (factory installed) your car. Ususally there is a need to purchase a wiring harness adaptor which allows for connecting the unit wires to your car wires. Also a car kit may be needed to assure the unit fits in the dash board securely and look great. Both are about $ 20 each and usually needed.

We like this product. The only thing wrong is that we should have gotten the antena. My husband says, the CD works well and it is clear, the radio, however, fades in and out on the old antenna with less clarity. This problem does not diminish the product rating of a 5. We will get an antenna to go with the radio. My husband likes it and that's what matters.

Outstanding product for the price. Many features on this unit are usually found on higher end models. I installed it in my boat with great results. The remote comes in handy for an installation such as this. All pro reviews and no cons yet.

It hasn't quit on me yet. Fits just fine into my 2001 Hyundai Elantra. Sound is pretty good, but I haven't used the CD player yet. The only complaints I have are that you can't change the color of the LEDs, and that the volume dial makes a slightly irritating clicking noise when you turn it. Some people don't mind that type of thing, but it's good to know if that bothers you. All ports and settings have worked fine.

Bought this with fairly low expectations. All I wanted was a simple stereo/CD player. I am not an audiophile. I mainly listen to talk (FM, not AM). So, sadly, the one thing I wanted--clear FM reception--is not there. In this day and age, there is no excuse for this. Even the cheapest FM receiver should be able to give clear performance from a powerful local station. This unit can't even pull in a signal from a powerful tower a few miles away. Even though it was only $49, it was a waste. I am trashing this one, getting another unit, this time I will pay more and get a "brand" name.

The left channel in my unit died within a week.

Thought I'd be able to buy a cheap head unit for my little sports car so that if some tard stole it I wouldn't be out by much.

But I'd rather have a head unit that was built properly instead of this junk.

You may want to think twice about buying one of these. It was great when it worked, but then again so are most stereos.

It skips if you hit a speed bump or if your CD has a scratch (obviously), but this is a worthwhile buy.

It sits kind of awkwardly in my Civic (it looks like it's extending out a little rather than sitting snug inside the panel), but that's not an issue. The sound quality is good. The blue light on the clock/tuner face isn't too bright to me. Still works just fine after half a year.

You can connect external devices via the auxiliary port (buy a 3.5 mm male to male cable). Just run the cable from the headphones jack on your laptop, mp3 player, walkman, or whatever into the auxiliary jack.

I have one issue. The stereo automatically starts at full volume. It didn't always do that, so I'm not sure how I caused that problem. So just beware of that potentially happening.

This unit is very easy to install, looks sleek, good quality. The metal casing it comes in is strong so it should be fairly easy to secure in your dashboard as long as you have the correct size frame. The only negative, and this is a big one that if I had realized before i bought the unit i may not have - is that there's no dimmer on it, which means its going to light up ultra bright at night time and there's nothing you can do about it. If you attach your harness to this unit, you'll be left with orange dimmer wires being unused and thats why. It can be distracting if your previous radio was less bright.

Basic and nice. You get what you pay for and a little more. Just take care of it and you'll have no problems with it.
