Dual XPA6100 is an Outstanding Value,

At ~$65, shipped the Dual XPA6100 mono subwoofer amplifier is a fantastic value. When I first recieved the amp, I dragged my boat's marine battery inside and connected the amp to my 10" Velodyne home theatre sub. Wow! The sound was excellent. From low to high levels, the Dual XPA6100 was as loud, clean and controlling as the Velodyne's internal amp. Not as many whistles and bells, but for the money...
The Dual XPA6100 adjustment settings are simple and after finding the perfect values, I have not touched them since. Power line filters were not needed. It's a quiet amp: no hum, hiss or whine. My disappointment comes not from the amp, but my 12" Infinity Reference (4-ohm) subwoofer. At lower, admittedly normal volumes, the sound is fantastic. But when I want moderately high levels, the amp quickly over powers the sub causing it to bottom out. What a great excuse for a new sub. You cannot go wrong with the Dual XPA6100.

This amp is a good buy for money & for the power. You can trust the power rating. I have used it to drive a Lanzar Max12D (12" dual 4 ohm voice coil), subwoofer. And also installed another to drive 2 10" Dayton Quatro (single 4 ohm voice coil) subwoofers from Parts Express (Amazon Seller of whom I am a wholesale buyer) and it drove both configurations just fine with no over over heating problems.

Needed to buy an amp to power my old MTX 10's I had. This had good reviews and the price was really good. I'm happy with my purchase. It pushed enough power to the subs, and it's nice and loud. Would buy again if I had to.

BY FAR UNDERATED,
This review is from: Dual XPA6100 600 Watt Mosfet Amplifier (Electronics)
as some others have said, i have far more exspensive name brand amps and i actualy think this dual is better. I use this to push my new kicker 12 dvc 800 watt sub. and it does a better job than previous jl and kenwood amp. crystal clear, clean and much more punch. might get a little warm but thats no problem and is why heat sink is so large.(good heat dispersement) even when thumping for hrs has never shut off or never apeared to be over heating. while i love my other kicker amp, for the money you cant beat dual. sound quality and power is astonishing. dont want to praise them to much or we will see an increase in price. I must say for quality and price this product deserves 6 stars. hats off to the dual corporation, well done gentlemen. about time we get back to good american quality at a price all can afford.

I have this amp running two 12" Sony Xplod subs in a ported box and the sound is awesome!!! Good amp for the price. Nice and clean bass, and best of all, the bass is loud and strong. Good amp.

I have owned a wide variety of name brand amplifiers(Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, JL Audio, Sony, HiFonics, ADS)over the years and I have found that Dual brand amplifiers perform competitively to these brands and for a much lower price. I currently have the XPA6100 bridged into 2 12" subs, and an XPA2100 running the door speakers in my blazer and the sound is AWESOME. The bass is deep and hard, the mids and highs are crisp and clean. A lot of people refer to these as "entry level" equipment, but my experience is that the only thing "entry level" about the Dual brand is the price, and who can complain about that? I would not only reccomend this amp to people, but I am planning on installing an identical system in my wifes truck, and I can do it for around 300 dollars including all the wiring kits.
