Product Description

Hand assembled in the UK, the Dualit Vario Toaster features extra wide slots to accommodate bagels or thick slices of bread. Designed to handle commercial demands, the Dualit Vario Toaster features an award-winning ProHeat element that increases toasting efficiency. Select the one or two slice option to heat only the slots you will be using and avoid burning a single slice with too much heat. A removable crumb tray captures debris and slides out easily for cleaning. A manual knob controls the degree of browning, and the manual ejector system means toast does not pop up when it finished toasting but stays warm until you retrieve it. Available accessories include a Sandwich Cage and Warming Rack.

I tried the Breville. I tried some digital toaster. And finally, I realized that if I wanted great toast (perfectly browned to my preference outside, tender inside), then I needed a Dualit. I couldn't be happier with my toaster; I love it so much in fact, I've named it (Stanley) and taken it on an extended working vacation. Some things are worth the money, and these hand-built toasters are one of them. I love the fact that the toast stays warm and doesn't pop up. I love the little tick, tick, tick of the timer. The color blue is both modern and vintage (don't ask me how that is) and it just looks great after all it's been thru (two moves, and lots of use already). In addition, I've toasted pound cake and English muffins and biscuits and all stellar results. SO my advice: spend the money and buy a toaster you'll have for your entire life and that will serve you well during that time.

I waited four years to get this toaster and it was worth the wait. I love that the bread doesn't pop up when it's finished but stays in the toaster warming. I love the color blue and all over design.

I bought this toaster for the design and the hype that it is a long-lasting well built product. I was wrong. The toaster never worked as advertised. The elements changed heat and timer was never exact so it resulted in uneven toasting, producing burned on one edge and light or no toast on the other. I loved the design so I turned a blind eye, then about 3 years in to the product the right side stopped working altogether, then about a month later the whole toaster stopped working. A very expensive toaster for three shabby years of work. If you read the UK website, it speaks to how long they last since you can replace the elements. Well mind you that is only if you live in the UK. The one place that you can get them in the USA has had critical reviews and they are costly to replace. This is one of my more expensive 'mis-buys'. I still love the design and would have considered another one, if I would have felt that they stood behind their product. Many Many people have has similar problems with this particular model. Buyer Beware.
