Dualit 87004 Bathroom Scale

I just fell in love with the look of this scale. It is really pretty. Plus, it has pound and kilogram, I'm a Japanese who's used to kilogram, so it's great. But it rusts so easily. I put this in our bathroom, after 2 weeks, it started to rust with the moisture. So the pretty look gets ruined. And the scale hand goes off very often, you have to adjust it with a rolling thing at the bottom. (What I mean is, the scale hand doesn't point zero always, you have to adjust it to make it point zero before weighing yourself.) So it's not one of those precise digital scale. If you love retro look and don't mind retro function, go for it. Otherwise, this is not for you. (And of course it's a bit pricey.) I still like this even though it's rusted a bit.

It's not the most practical scale in the world, but it's a piece of art. Not that easy to read because the numbers are small. not that accurate but enough to let you know which direction you are going weightwise. Makes for less compulsive weighing. Do you really need to know more? Dualit makes great products built for decades.

Scale is OK -- Numbers are very hard to read as they are tooooooooooo small - Unless you have a telescope !

Its not evident from the photo but the dial is actually not flush with the scale, it is 4-5" above, meaning that you have to slip your feet underneath the dial when you stand on the scale. This ruins the retro look. I was very disappointed and returned the product.
