Another great album by the toasters. If you get the two disc version of this album you are getting a great deal. You get the album on the first disc plus some alternate versions of some of the songs.And the second disc is a live album. This is not their best album but is still great. This cd has great songs such as mona, dub 56, razor cut, and legal shot. As for the live disc I was surprised at how good it sounded. It is recorded from two shows. One from san diego and the other from LA. Some songs are repeated from each show so you get two live versions of mona, thrill me up, legal shot, and east side beat. So what are you waiting for, order it!

The Toasters are one of the best and most enduring third wave ska bands. "Dub 56" has a special place in my heart because it was the first third wave ska CD that I ever heard. I loved it immediately and went on to check out a lot of other third wave ska bands as well. The Toasters remain one of my favorites. While I especially like their faster songs, like Freedom, Mona, and Dub 56, the Toasters also play a lot of slower songs that give an R&B/funk and even jazz flavor to their overarching ska sound. This is an expanded edition of the original 14 song "Dub 56" CD that has 35 songs. Many of the extra tracks are different mixes or live versions of the original 14 songs, but it doesn't get boring. It's available new for under [...] bucks--which is an unbelievable deal. Highly recommended.
