I think it is impossible for Tobymac to make a bad album - even if it is a remix album. Dubbed and Freq'd is a trip down memory lane for long time Tobymac fans, but with some added spice. If a song can sound good through computer speakers, I imagine it would sound excellent through a car stereo or something of that sort.
This album serves it's purpose - it's a dance album. Some long time fans will be disappointed in the extreme altering of some songs, but the point of this album was not to create the same music - it was created to provide a Christian alternative to the newest hotspot in music (dubstep). Made to Love, City on our Knees, Boomin, and Ignition are my personal favorites.
The only true knock I have on the album is that many of the songs sound very similar. Some of the more upbeat songs tend to have similar remixes - the "dubstep" in them sound very similar, if that makes sense. Overall, I think the album is excellent. Tobymac continues to be a visionary in Christian music, and I predict that many artists will pursue projects such as this due to its catchiness and ability to put Christian ideas into a mainstream phenomenon.

I've liked all of TobyMac's music, and this is no exception. This is a bit different, though. As other reviewers have mentioned, these are dance remixes. I happen to like this style as well as hip hop. Also, if you have all of his other releases, including bonus tracks and singles, you may recognize some of the tracks on here. The remixes of "Boomin'" and "Ignition" are the same as the two bonus tracks on Portable Sounds With Bonus Remixes. The "Lose My Soul" remix was included with the single release of "City On Our Knees". "Captured" and "Hold On" were both included on Tonight Deluxe Edition. (If you have most or all of these 5 remixes already, you can save a bit of money by buying the other tracks separately.)

If you like TobyMac and you like remixes, purchasing this album is a no-brainer. Made To Love and Showstopper are probably the best tracks on the album, in my opinion.

Good CD
This CD is good for people who are more into a rap type of Christian music. Don't get me wrong, it's good but it's all about the genre.

Awesome CD
This is an electronic mix of some of Tobymac's best songs. If you love electronic music and/or Dubstep, you will love this CD. Christian Dubstep...it's awesome!
