This is a captivating monograph of Jean Dubuffet. It will allow the viewer to enter the complex, intricate and controversial universe of a very engimatic character, still highly mysterious after his death.

A Real Treat!!,
By
This review is from: Dubuffet (Paperback)
I have long been a fan of Dubuffet but have found that most books on him (when you can find them) are old, out of print and or have lots of black and white images.
This book is such a treat, because it covers his entire career with tons of big, colorful images! The text is concise and easy to read (it is in English, despite what the above description says) and it is informative. It is the images though that shine! It is nice to see a solid retrospective of his work in quality color pictures. Dubuffet was a very prolific artist, who pushed the bounderies of modern art. It is a shame that there are not more books on him as generous as this one!! If you only get one book on Dubuffet, this is the best!
