Great book for Super Sport fans
I truly enjoyed this book as I'm a great fan of the Ducati Supersport models (old and new). I own a more recent model (1997) and this book does not really cover these newer models in too much detail. I was hoping for a book about Super Sport history with a serious discussion of technology development and performance. Instead, the book focuses almost exclusively on cosmetics. Where technology is discussed, it is mainly to mention the substitution of this or that model of carburetor or disk brakes without any real discussion of the reasons for or consequences of these changes. The book seems geared towards collectors for whom minute details of paint scheme and turn signal location are significant. On the plus side, the photographs are numerous and beautiful, and the overall print quality is excellent.

I truly enjoyed this book as I'm a great fan of the Ducati Supersport models (old and new). I own a more recent model (1997) and this book does not really cover these newer models in too much detail. However, to gain an understanding of the history and sequence of the older Super Sport models and also what it was that made them so special and to learn about their successes and failures in racing, this book is perfect.
