5.0 out of 5 stars If You Can Find It... This One is Gold!, February 27, 2006
This review is from: Duck-Footed (Pamphlet)
A short story by Lansdale, published in a chapbook by Subterranean Press, a long lost work of art which has thankfully surfaced for all of us who want to know...

This parodies the 700 Club and the Religious Right. It does not put down Christianity, just the morons who like to twist and turn the Bible into a literal, dogmatic nightmare. The show comes on the television, and the shallow-minded begin to turn into ducks. A small band of people strive to escape... but can they?

An allegory that holds up to the likes of "The Giving Tree," "The Fall of Freddy the Leaf," and "Jonathan Livingston Seagull." It deserves to be treated as such.
