My almost 3yr old LOVES this book,

This review is from: Duck & Goose, How Are You Feeling? (Board book)
I bought this book for my daughter because she was such a huge fan of the other 2 Tad Hills books we have.
She was immediately mesmerized by this book. She wouldn't put it down. She was actually brushing her teeth with the book propped on the counter. I ended up letting her read herself to sleep (which probably wasn't a good idea as she was still up an hour later) She just LOVES this book. What I love about the book is the dialog it started between my daughter and I. We discussed what was happening on each page and how that lead to the 'feeling' being portrayed. It was nice to discuss feelings and what happens when you feel a certain way. Very simple dialog in the book itself and the pictures do justice for the feeling. (in the typical Duck, Goose way) I highly recommend this book- as well as the other Tad Hills book! (just don't give it to your peanut to take into bed, they won't go to sleep)

Devon loves Duck & Goose! So does Grammy!,

For quite some time, I've been buying books to save for my great-grandson Devon for future reading adventures. Who could resist the huge collection they have in today's market?
But when I came across these sturdy board books, I decided NOW is the time to really get him started on the first of many humorous, stimulating adventures with hilarious animal characters. I started him on the first in this series What's Up, Duck?, and his happy reaction to the colorful pictures and funny characters made the second book mandatory. He enjoyed Duck & Goose, 1, 2, 3 just as much, so we were both sold on this series. I just received Duck & Goose, How Are You Feeling? and can't wait to visit him for some more quality time together. Reading to Devon and being rewarded by his happy giggles, bright, sunny smile and warm hugs is one of the highlights of my life. These books have such lovable characters it's hard to choose a favorite. In addition to Duck and Goose, Devon giggles as he points to Thistle and Bluebird. I think Bluebird is his favorite, but it's too soon to tell This is a charming book. Author/Illustrator Tad Hills has a rare gift in two arts; he certainly understands what triggers children's laughter and stimulates their imagination. Very highly recommended for pre-schoolers. You can't go wrong! Reviewed by: Betty Dravis, January 2009

helps child identify feelings,
This review is from: Duck & Goose, How Are You Feeling? (Board book)
I bought the book for my 3 1/2 granddaughter. Her mother will use the book to help her child identify with the ducks how she feels at school when something happens. It is short and to the point.

We got this book because our daughter loves the duck and goose books. She asks for this one the most now. The feeling are easily identified and it has great pictures. Our daughter loves feelings books and this is probably a tie for first place in that genre.

I purchased some of these books from Amazon and really love reading them to my 2 grandchildren (under 2). They love the pictures and short stories. I also purchased the 9" duck and goose plush animals so that they could each hold one while we are reading. The books are very durable and we have a reading spot where I leave the books out for them to "read" during the day.

I purchased 3 "Duck & Goose" for my grandchildren...31/2 and 10 mths. One is for Halloween, one for Christmas, and one about you. The 31/2 year old loved everything about them...colorful...easy to understand...beautiful illustrations.. Love the board books for younger children because they cannot be ripped and are very sturdy. Great entertainment.

I was so excited to receive the book for my children, ages 4 and 17 months. It is an amazing book with the best illustrations I have come across in children's literature. It arrived on time, and in very remarkable condition, it was like "brand new" and we are very happy with it.

This book gives an opportunity to speak about feelings with your little one. This is one of my 18 month old's favorites right now. I don't think my son understands most of the feelings being portrayed in the pictures yet but he enjoys it anyway.

This pretty little boardbook is part of a series of Duck & Goose book created by author and illustrator Tad Hills. In this book, each of the two-page spreads contains one or two words that describe what the characters are feeling. The illustrations are nicely done, and help to make the book surprisingly entertaining for the young reader. The concept of the book is quite interesting - helping the very young reader to think about, and identify his or her feelings.
My little reader and I both enjoyed this book, and recommend it to you ands your little one.

This was one of three Duck & Goose books I received through a rewards program and it was definitely the right choice. My daughter loves these books. She can see the word for the feeling as well as how that feeling feels. For sad the sky is gray, the flowers are drooping and duck hangs his head, for happy duck and goose are jumping, the sky is blue, big pink flowers are blooming and butterflies surround the birds. Tad Hills did a great job with this book and the pictures are wonderful. I can't wait to get the other Duck & Goose books!
