My son's first grade teacher read this to the class on a reading day and they all absolutely fell in love with the storyline! My son came home and asked to get it at the library… But, I decided since he really really loves it that I would buy it for him to keep forever. Nice illustrations and the words are small enough that he can practice his reading as well .

This book is just okay. It was cute at times, but ultimately I was fairly underwhelmed.

My 4 year old figured out what the major plot twist was about a quarter of the way into the book. So it wasn't exactly The Sixth Sense.

It's a nice story that shows two characters arguing and not sharing, who through they stubbornness learn to share and be friends. I like that message, but it was an awful like to pages repeating the same thing over and over and over to get to that message.

I like the Duck and Goose series in general, but this one was kind of a swing and a miss for me. My daughter looked bored as we read it tonight.

This is a nice story about small conflicts, dealing with disappointment, and sharing.

We are obsessed with all the duck & goose books around here, so don't read this review the wrong way. I love this book and highly recommend it. Just note it skews slightly older and is more of a "story" (and many more words) than the other duck and goose books we have (D&G Find A Pumpkin, D&G It's Time for Christmas, D&G How are You Feeling, D&G Goose Needs A Hug, all of which we have and my toddler has memorized by heart). Those books are all "bite sized" in terms of plot and word-count. This one is longer. Just an FYI. But we love it nonetheless!
