Duckling is Patient is another great book in the First Virues Series. This series is great for introducing virtues to your toddlers. Each book explains the virtue in ways they can understand and gives examples from life. Each book also gives a Bible verse that they can memorize easily. I have all these books and they have helped me lay the groundwork for moral training in my three year old son, and I plan to use them on our baby girl as soon as she's old enough. (I would use these books for ages 1- 4 1/2.)

Yes, this book talks about God. Not sure why others decided to give it bad reviews because of that. God is the writer of moral law and the Bible is His written authority so that we might know how to live. This is a great way to teach your toddler simple truths from the Bible and reinforce the things you are teaching them every day... in this case patience. My daughter (2 1/2 years old) LOVES the books in this series and asks to read them all the time! They have simple wording and adorable illustrations. She loves all the different animals featured in the book. This book really does deserve a better rating than was given by some of the reviews. Just do your homework before you buy, people! Don't give a book a bad rating because you didn't understand what you were buying.

Cute book but I was not aware of the religous aspect of it. Would I have known before I would not have purschased it.

I purchased this as a gift and the mother of the child who received it said it talked about God in the book. I did not realize this. The mom returned the book.
