Martine Avenue Productions is thrilled to bring you, for the first time ever on CD, the entire live concert, complete with Dudley Moore's hilarious commentary. This is a recording like no other. The listener will feel what it was like to be in the audience for this historic concert, performed on May 2, 1978 in Sydney Town Hall. The two-CD set honors the memory of Dudley Moore on the tenth anniversary of his untimely death on March 27, 2002, at the age of 66. Dudley approached the concert, and each musical work, with his strongly individual approach to the jazz pieces, and he interspersed them with some of his infamous musical parodies, ending it all with Goodbyee as you've never heard it before. The set features classic jazz written and arranged by Dudley Moore and others, in stunning performances by Dudley and long-time jazz partners Peter Morgan, bass and Chris Karan, drums, side by side with Dudley's beloved piano parodies, poking fun at composers including Schubert and Beethoven and featuring Dudley's vocal skills, from scat-singing to madrigal singing.
