Good overview of The Shadow and the pulp magazines he appeared in. This also has some interesting essays. An added bonus is that it contains a number of excellent Shadow illustrations(of the Shadow's Lamont Cranston and Kent Allard identities), drawn by Frank Hamilton.
This is also the only place to find the Shadow short story called "Blackmail Bay"(written by Walter Gibson himself).

Will Murray has done a splendid job with this tome. It is very informative, and, at the same time enjoyable. Truly a must for any fan of the genre. I recommend it highly.
