Hmm, I always assumed this was recorded at the Velvet Lounge, where the only thing lounder than the music is the wallpaper. See the album cover for what that looks like. Anyway, Robert Barry's a great drummer. A spare style, but he fills the musical space perfectly.

Thrill Jockey is to be applauded. Fred Anderson
deserves more exposure and this will help him get it.
For those of you scared off by the squeaks, shrieks, and
squalls of "Outside" jazz, you need Fred Anderson--always
melodic, never abrasive. His sound is rich and warm, and
the telepathy he creates with Robert Barry is marvelous.
Already legend in his hometown of Chicago (he owns the Velvet Lounge), Fred Anderson's terrific recordings need to earn him a
wider audience and more national rep.
Buy this, you will not be disappointed with its beauty.
