This CD consists of duets with some of the all time greats. Jolson soars with the Andrew Sisters, and the music/comedy segment featuring Jimmy Durante is worth the price of the CD itself. Many Jolson CD's include many of the same cuts as other Jolson CD's. This one is different. If you like Jolson, you'll get into this one.

This is a great compendium of Jolson material. Joining voices with some of the legendary stars of show business, from Garland to Durante, Dennis Day and Doris Day, Crosby and Marx (Groucho!), and others, Jolson covers a wide range of material and styles. This is a must-have for any Jolson fan.

I HAVE MOVED MY 78 RECORD COLLECTION AROUND THE WORLD AND BACK---BUT THANK GOODNESS FOR MORE CD'S LIKE THIS ONE. IT IS WELL EDITED AND RECORDED FROM A VARIETY OF SOURCES, BUT THE TRUE QUALITY OF EACH PERSON COMES THROUGH ENJOYABLY CLEAR. THIS RECORDING IS ENOUGH TO PLEASE THE ORIGINAL AUDIENCE AND BRING NEW COMERS TO THE SOUNDS OF A CLEARER GENERATION OF SOUND.

This is a fantastic CD of unique songs and is a perfect example of why Al Jolson is the "World's Greatest Entertainer"! This CD is a treasure!
