4.0 out of 5 stars Nilsson in his best period, December 1, 2005
By Wouter van der Land (The Netherlands) - See all my reviews
Does humor belong in music? I think these album prove it. Nilsson in suberb shape backed up by great musicians like Bobby Keys, Ringo Starr and Nicky Hopkins playing some pretty weird stuff. 'How to Write a Song', 'Salmon Falls' 'Kojak Columbo' and 'Will She Miss Me?' are Nilsson classics, although not likely to be covered by Mariah Carrey.

4.0 out of 5 stars God's Greatest Hits, July 2, 2007
Back when this album was released, the name had to be changed because the record company thought the original title might be insulting to some...hence "Duit on Mon Dei" A fun album!

3.0 out of 5 stars half good, December 7, 2002
By Randy Arco (Atlanta, GA) - See all my reviews
Sandman is great. One of my favorite Nilsson albums. From the frantic "How To Write A Song" to the lazy "Why I Did NOt Go To Work Today", Sandman is nearly perfect.

"Duit On Mon Dei" (Do it on Mondy) is not. Harry- enough of those freaking Steel Drums!

And we get two versions of his worst song ever, "Jesus Christ Your Tall", a song that only exsists to offend.

Nilsson likes to offend. He also likes to confuse. Why he would deliberately sabatoge his career with drek like "Mon Dei" is beyond me.

"Sandman", on the otherhand, shows Nilsson in a much better light.

However, avoid the obnoxious "Flying Saucer Song" at any cost....
