4.0 out of 5 stars Well done, Prima!
Though everyone else seemed to have hated the book and thought it was poorly written, I have come to dissagree. The book was well written, it had some attitude along with it, the backgrounds on the pages were cool to look at, and the walkthroughs are in-depth and informative. I tottaly didn't agree with the instructions and the writer did not let us understand it ( because he probably wrote it while he was sleeping ) Two thumbs down

Though everyone else seemed to have hated the book and thought it was poorly written, I have come to dissagree. The book was well written, it had some attitude along with it, the backgrounds on the pages were cool to look at, and the walkthroughs are in-depth and informative. The maps are small and custom-made, but they at least show where everything is. There is one screenshot which is in Level 4 of Episode 1, but the strategy will help you beat each level. The size of the book is small making it easier to carry around. Don't listen to the people who say the book is bad because I actually HAVE IT and I say this is GOOD. I wish it covered Atomic Edition, but it doesn't, so get the Sybex Plutonium Pak guide along with this one.

2.0 out of 5 stars I shouldn't have gotten this book., February 19, 1999

I don't like this book. I wish I never got it. I'd rather have the official one for Duke3d Atomic by Sybex. This book by Prima didn't have any shots of the game when they told you how to beat the level. It was very hard for me to defeat levels because it had no shots and the only way to get to the next place was to look at the map. It only told the description of each area but not how to get to the next. Some of the info in the book were totally wrong. I liked the way they made the maps and the steps (not what the steps tell though) overall.
