The product was shipped, and arrived swiftly. It was found to be an excellent, sturdy, nutcracker. A walnut has no chance against this tool. A word of advice, place a towel over the nut when cracking them, as sharp shards of the shells will shoot across the room... and you don't want to step on one of those. :)

I got this product to crack black walnuts. It works. It's sturdy. It has a nice appearance.

Warning: the walnuts crack in an explosive way, spraying bits of their hard and highly abrasive shells all over the place. These shells have SHARP points.

Safety glasses should be worn.

My husband and I have 3 macademia nut trees and have been looking the perfect nut cracker. We had been using a bench vice to crack them in the past and it always crushed the entire nut and we ended up with "nut pieces".
This nut cracker is the best thing going. I crached over 1/2 gallon of nuts the other day in under 30 minutes and they all came out whole. The nut shells are contained on the counter and don't fly all over the place. I wish we would have found this nut cracker years ago. We have not yet tried it on other types of nuts but I'm convinced it will work just fine on any kind of nut you want to crack.
