Cautivadora y sensual , Lucia Mendez con boleros tropicales , su dulce voz y unico estilo de interpretar boleros ..Vuelve para deleitar a sus fans que siguen la linea de "Todo o Nada''..Aunque esta vez con temas ineditos , como el tema '' Gracias por haberte hido'' de la inspiracion del Temerario Mayor Adolfo , que esta para cortarse las venas. Pero mas que todo su tema '' Rehilete'' un Danzon con toques de salsa que sin duda pondra a bailar hasta la ultima persona de cualquier fiesta. Si!, porque esta Album celebra el amor y el desamor , que en algun momento nos hace sentir, cantar y recordar que cada uno de nosotros ah tenido algun ''Dulce Romance'' ..Comprenlo Ya! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Stunning and Elegant, ''Dulce Romance'' the follow up to ''Todo o Nada'' is a delight . The combination of Pop , Mariachi and Bolero and Lucia's voice..are like the best wines. Lucia's Voice is a compliment , this album is like no other, and thats an advantage. Songs like ''Rehilete'' ,''Muerete de amor'' will make you dance and sing along. The love songs are more aspiring to a delight full evening of Romance , just listen to ''Ya tu veras'' a valentines theme song...Theres no doubt."Dulce romance gots everything a music lover could ask for....a must buy!

I have been listening to Lucia Mendez, all my life, and I must really say, that this album, "Dulce Romance' is her best album yet. I can get enough of the album, as it shows her versatility and proves that whatever she wants to do, she can do it, without a doubt. If you like Lucia Mendez, this album will make you realize how much of an artist she is. The songs on the album, talk about love and lost love ... but with her voice, it gives these songs a special meaning. Songs like, "Gracias por Haberte Ido", "Muerete de Amor", "Dulce Romance", "Te Regalo yo mis Ojos" and especially "Rehilete" ... are great songs that can make you love someone till the end, cry for them and love them again ... Lucia is truly a great artist and she is definitely, THE LATIN DIVA of all time ...

You are the best Lucia ...

Just like the artist herself, this is a gorgeous and enchanting c.d. The voice, the lyrics, the music has gone well beyond my expectations! Lucia is defintiely one of those rare artists whose talent has improved with time. Many fans were starting to lose interest with her pop-contemporary sound from 3 albums back which did not fare too well. Since she has started recording the more traditional and romantic Latin classics it has garnered her a major comeback (not that she really went anywhere). The latter material has really allowed Lucia Mendez to show the world she is not just a Mexican pop star who can only sing soap opera (novela) themes and contemporary tunes.

Two other highly recommended previous titles from Lucia are Senora Tentacion and Todo O Nada. These are both timeless and traditional !

It's a crying shame there has not been the perfect role or script written for her that would not just captivate the Latin community but the American/Hollywood industry as well ! Maybe one day she'll make it to the silver screen with her genuine talent and awesome beauty and capture everyone's hearts...I know she has mine since I was a teen! Lucia, you're still in top form here !

Dulce Romance the newest cd by mexican diva Lucia Mendez simply couldn't be better. Lucia Mendez once again comes back to sing boleros but this time with a much powerfull plus, this cd contains from dancing tropical music " Rehilete" to a beautiful slow romantic song "Gracias por haberte ido" Without a doubt Lucia makes of this album a quality music product and deserves lots of awards for the effort and her amazing voice!

Lucia Mendez, with stunning voice of a dove, releases her new album, "DULCE ROMANCE," where is being heralded by critics as her most innovative work to date. The set is composed of music from the "Golden Age" of Latin America. She continues to surprise us with her quality of material and adds two new bonuses, unedited songs from hit music writers Willie Chirino and Adolfo Angel.

Mendez has always been in the cutting edge of the entertainment field, delivering to the masses the newest technology. She continues her trademark on this album. With her creative juices at hand and the production at her dispense, she as delivered to us what no woman has done in the past. The songs are new interpretations of the classics, but with a modern touch to them. She works along side the world renown, producer Chammin Correa, who as had for a string of hit's from the 40's to now, as well as producing and performing material. Correa is responsible for Luis Miguel's "Romances," Gloria Estefan's "Mi Tierra" and several albums from Julio Iglesia.

This is her third outing with "Boleros." The first was "Senora Tentacion," which won her phrase for her interpretation's, but was limited to commercial broadcasting because of her entanglement's with Televisa and Sony Records.

The first single "Perdoname," is a masterpiece. Her enchanting voice hits high notes over the shuffling sound of the 60's in the background. This song is filled with so much emotion that the listener receives a shiver down their spine as the song reaches its climax.

Mendez prepared the release of the video along the beautiful Colonial streets of Mexico City. What we have is a Superposition of an old city, modern images, computer graphics, and more. The interest of modern ideas clash with romance from colonial Mexico. We also have a European model playing the part of her lover, with a story line of the older falling for the younger. For the first time, Mendez play's the older character. It is clear that the contrast is in style for our millenium, and she applies it here, making it a piece of art.

"Rehilete" has that tongue and cheek vibrato, giving us at the 00's what Paula Abdul gave us in the 80's with "Cold Hearted" and U2 with "Lemon" in the 90's

"Quieres Ser Mi Amante" is truly mesmerizing, a tribute to the genius, Camilo Sesto gave her her first pop hits. This gem is now relived in the 00's.

"Hoy en dia todo mundo quiere dedicarse al bolero, pero el publico no compra sus discos. Se necesita lagrima en la voz para cantar," said Mendez. How you obtain that degree, "Viviendo Amores, desamores, momentos felices o de felicidad. Cuando eres madre, cuando te divorcias o cuando encuentras un nuevo amor... Todo va ayudandote a tener mejor interpretacion."

Her new epic will take you on a journey filled by all these emotions she has expressed.
