5.0 out of 5 stars Sometimes silliness is a virtue, too
Every year I give my nephew a book for Easter. Last year it was "The Country Bunny and the Golden Shoes", an excellent book that I would recommend to the previous reviewer if it's an uplifting tale you're looking for. This year, however, he gets "Dumb Bunnies". Why? Because it's silly, funny, and will make him laugh out loud. And, in my opinion,...

1.0 out of 5 stars sick! sick! sick!
Anyone that reads this book to their child should be ashamed of themselves. This book is the most disgusting thing I have ever read. This book is supposed to be for ages 4 - 8 years old. I raise my child to be a better person than these people that apparently think this is a book that is proper to be read to a 4-8 year old. My daughter brought this book home from...

This year, however, he gets "Dumb Bunnies". Why? Because it's silly, funny, and will make him laugh out loud. And, in my opinion, it's harmless fun. Wouldn't the world be greater if we all had a little silliness in our lives?

5.0 out of 5 stars LAUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY FOR PARENTS AND KIDS ALIKE, February 15, 2001

The author of this series cleverly tapped into "stupid humor" where you cannot miss the punch line. At one point reading this book, my daughter and I were laughing so hard we were brought to tears. The humor definitely bridges the age gap and allows my daughter and I to bond over laughter. A true delight!

5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshing, non-schmaltzy children's lit, December 10, 1998

My nephew (6 years old) especially liked the part about baby bunny cutting the cheese (literally, running over a piece of cheese with the lawn mower, I believe).

5.0 out of 5 stars A laugh-out-loud delight!, May 28, 1999

This is one of those rare children's books that the entire family can thoroughly enjoy. The Dumb Bunnies' Easter is a fun, whimsical look at an upside-down-holiday-turned-sideways. A great book to help the kids relax before bedtime.

DUMB BUNNIES' EASTER

I purchased this book for my three year old grandson, Colton. Colton says the DUMB BUNNIES are SILLY! He is right! I also purchased it for my ten month old granddaughter, Paige, who is too young to appreciate the humor now but certainly will as she gets older and wiser!

The Dumb Bunnies ROCK. They are for everyone! They are just so dumb that you have to laugh at them! The story line is goofy and the illustrations are great. In this book Easter is combined with every other holiday you can possibly think of. Kids enjoy the humor and the pure happiness of the story, and there is plenty of humor for adults too. This is one book you will enjoy reading over and over and over to your grandkids.

I will definitely be purchasing ALL of Dav Pilkey's books to add to my grandkids book collections. Shh, don't tell anyone! They are REALLY for MY enjoyment!

Thank you!!!!

Pam

My six year old son loves this book, and all of the Dumb Bunnies books for that matter. They are silly and he has had a great time reading them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious fun for children and adults, February 5, 2011

This book is so much fun for the children and also for the adult reading it to them. I use it in speech therapy for inference, prediction and finding "what's wrong with this picture" as well as differentiating literal from real meanings. The laugh value keeps the children's attention and interest. It is an enjoyable book for all kiddos. I am buying the hardback edition sinced I am on my second paperback copy. It has literally been read until the pages fall apart. This is a book well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funniest book I have ever read, January 16, 2010
I ordered a lot of Pilkey titles because kids love his Captain Underpants series, which is one of our favorite early chapter book series. Anything I can do to get some of these kids to sit with a book is worth it. When I first read this, I was screaming with laughter and woke up a few of our patrons. Once I caught my breath, I had to share it with my staff. Sue D. Nim is now my favorite author. And we re-read this book and pass it around. Sometimes we even let kids check it out. Only kids we trust. I will have to buy more. Thank you, Dav Pilkey!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great title in this series, July 7, 2008
This is another great Dumb Bunnies title and our family are looking forward to getting more. The Dumb bunnies are really dumb, but they are good hearted - well sort of. This is a play on a whole lot of holidays. It might be a bit harder for kids outside the USA to understand them (we don't do Thanksgiving, or 4th of July for instance) but there is still a lot of great laughs in here - my kids still fall about laughing everytime poppa bunny gets dressed up to go out in the snow!

An appealing and humourous book.
