5.0 out of 5 stars The silliest books !
Does any one know that Sue Denim is the ONE AND ONLY DAVE PILKEY!He writes the book under the girls name Sue Denim(pseudonym). Funny huh!!I have to say that my kids can't get enough of these books.
No one needs to look into the detail of the book to see that kids read it and laugh. It's funny, and my kids have had a good laugh for the past years that they have owned...

3.0 out of 5 stars A very funny and dumb book!
I laughed out loud when I first read the dumb bunnies and I still do now! Even though it has no point, you can't help but laugh at the way that the Dumb Bunnies act!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious story with hidden signs, April 9, 1999
This review is from: Dumb Bunnies Go To The Zoo (Paperback)
I am seven years old and my name is Sam. I love all the Dumb Bunny books in general, and I even watch the TV show. I just got Dumb Bunnies Go To the Zoo for Easter from my Grandma. I have read it four times and still find it funny. The story is funny but the pictures are EVEN FUNNIER. I hope that Dav continues to write MORE books so I can buy them all and put them in my bookcase in my room. Thanks Dav and Sue for making me laugh!

5.0 out of 5 stars Children and adults will laugh out loud!, December 17, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Dumb Bunnies Go To The Zoo (Paperback)
This is another great Dumb Bunnies book! Children love to hear about this bunny family and their adventures. Adults will enjoy it as well. My students want me to read the Dumb Bunnies books over and over again - they love them. I purchase several copies of each book so that several of my students can read the book each day. Once you read this book, you'll see just how funny this series is!

3.0 out of 5 stars 3 1/2* Not Completely Bunny, August 19, 2001
...but it is fairly funny. Sue Denim's "Dumb Bunnies" series is full of verbal (and visual) puns and other language-based humor, much of it clever, some of it puerile. The humor can be at a fairly low level, and the adjective "dumb" is not used in any redeeming way. Unlike the similarly confused "Amelia Bedelia" character, the bunnies are neither particularly sweet nor well-meaning; unlike "Curious George," there isn't a tradeoff between mischief and heroics; unlike Homer Simpson, the questionable IQ is not balanced by other personal qualities.

Despite these minor objections, Denim does knows humor for the young set. In this story, the "dumb bunnies" confuse themselves and others during a zoo trip, and generally cause trouble for all. A lot of the humor is in the background zoo signs:"Free Admission. Free Ice Cream. Free Popcorn. All For One Low Price," and "Hot Dogs. Chilly Dogs. Room-Temperature Dogs." Dave Pilkey's illustrations are bright and colorful without overwhelming. A good book for around ages 4 to 7. Note: Although for older readers/listeners, Pilkey's "Captain Underpants" books deliver even more bathroom humor (for those who like that--and I know that many kids do), but they are more cleverly designed and plotted than this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tori's Review, June 13, 2011
A Kid's Review
The Dumb Bennies Go to the Zoo is so dumb it can't be true! Dav Pilkey is a hilarious kid's author. He writes Captain Underpants too. Animals trick the dumb bunnies in this book. They are so dumb that they didn't know that lions don't have stripes! So, they find a mysterious creature that does. The Dumb Bunnies is a book for kids who are silly. The pictures are great! The dad wears underpants instead of real pants. It is so funny I've read it more than five times! The Dumb Bunnies Go To The Zoo

I purchased this for my 11 year old grandson when he was about 5, and to this day, it's still one of his favorite books. We have all the Dumb Bunnies books, and we periodically get them out and he reads them to me now...you can't beat a bunch of dumb bunnies...it always makes us laugh.
