I bought this to stop my cats peeing in the corner behind my bass speaker. I sprayed, and re-sprayed per the directions, and, instead of eliminating this as simply the most annoying of three destinations for the morning pee, it made it the ONLY place for a hip cat to be seen peeing.

In fact, they completely stopped using their litter box to pee and ONLY went behind the speaker.

I kept the faith and kept cleaning up, reapplying and respraying when a thought crossed my mind.

As a trial, I sprayed dumb cat in the bathtub (where they had never 'gone' before) and, guess what, that became place #2 for hip cats to be seen peeing. I eventually gave up and now just occasionally spray a little Dumb Cat on their litter box and they seem to be getting the idea. So, either I have dumb cats, or this product does the EXACT OPPOSITE of that which it is supposed to do. I would just save the exorbitant amount of cash (seriously, this stuff is more expensive than Johnnie Walker Blue) and try another remedy. Dumb Cat just frustrated me and apparently confused my cats.

DUMB CAT has helped me with multiple problems with Abby. I inherited Abby from my kids, who had had her de-clawed, and apparently it had been a traumatic experience. Then, they got a puppy. Abby began peeing on the floor. I know that she was just marking over the puppy areas, but the kids were going to have her put down! I brought her home with me and it has taken 5 years to get her to come out from under the beds and stop marking everywhere. I have an older cat that rules the roost; keeping things in constant state of turmoil. I found that DUMB CAT tranquilized Abby and has taken much of the nervousness away. Abby will never be a lap cat and she bites, but I think her early years weren't the best, so I just let her do her thing. She is using the litter box and is proud of it, as she shows me when I come home. Then, she shows me the message machine on the phone to take care of the messages. I know this is much too long, but I have found DUMB CAT to be everything it says and more. It worked for us.

While this product seems to clean up stains pretty well, it has done nothing to deter our cat from spraying. In fact, the spraying has INCREASED dramatically in the same areas where the product has been used. If you're looking for a product to eliminate spraying, this isn't it.

Bought this product because my cat wouldn't stop peeing on probably the most annoying place in the house--the couch. Followed the directions, sprayed the couch a lot, let it dry. It actually made the problem WORSE, she went on it an hour or two after spraying and has kept going on it with higher frequency than before I used the product. Avoid at all costs; does not work as advised and instead makes the problem worse.

NOTHING will stop a cat from spraying. But Dumb Cat takes the urine smell out better than anything else we've tried. We have 12 cats, so this is a necessary product for us!

I guess I was a little confused as to what this product could accomplish. I wanted something that would deter the cat from spraying on the bathroom and entry hall rugs. While I know that dumb cat is not a repellent, I thought it was supposed to eat away the enzymes and scents that make the cat want to "repeat offend" there. For what Dumb Cat says it does, it does seem to work. It does take the scent and effectually removes the urine. However, this does NOTHING to stop the cat from returning there and doing it again... and again... and again...

My cat had been urinating on our carpet for quite some time because she was 23 years old and hated going to the vet, so we let it go on knowing she would probably not be around too much longer. Well we had to euthanize her because of several health issues. After that we removed the old carpet and still had a little bit of urine smell, so I sprayed it with Dumb Cat and it took away the odor completely. I have almost a full bottle because it didn't take that much to eliminate the odor. Maybe I will get another cat someday. It's really a great product. If you have problems with eliminating urine odor, I definitely recommend this product.

This is hands down, the ONLY stuff that works! Not only does it COMPLETELY get rid of the urine smell, it (re)trains your cat to use his box! Trust me, I've tried EVERYTHING and this is truly the only product that works. My cat will try and pee on the carpet and he'll smell the dumb cat and literally turn around and get in his litter box!!! Who ever invented this is pure genious!!!

The product has a pleasant smell, but does not get rid of the urine odor. It almost makes the odor tolerable but not by much. Our cat didn't like that we had sprayed this on the spot he marked, so he peed all over the room instead - EVERYWHERE. I just bought a mini carpet cleaner since I know Dumb Cat won't get rid of the smell.

This product did NOT work at all. Our cat peed in one place (he is a neutered male), but the smell has lingered for days. We've sprayed, soaked, sprayed soaked, sprayed soaked with this product, and the smell has diminished but it's still there. Sprinkling baking soda on the spot helped the smell more than this product did. Complete waste of money. But maybe my cat's urine is stinkier than others, who knows, but this product cannot cut through my cat's pee like baking soda can.
