My son loves R.L. Stein books! He also writes the Goosebump book series if your kid is into scary stories. These Rotten School books are funny and witty and really hold my 9 yr olds attention (slightly ADHD). He has the whole series. Definately buy from here or other online site offering free shipping before you drive to your local bookstore. The prices are cheaper, you won't spend gas, you won't get begged for everything under the register, and the shipping is free.

We bought these books for my son. He LOVES them. They are a great choice for children, especially if you are trying to find chapter books that will hold their attention span.
