5.0 out of 5 stars The Dumpy books are sweet stories perfect for pre-schoolers
The books about Dumpy and his friends are just right for pre-schoolers. The illustrations are colorful and fun and the stories teach good values without being preachy. Best for ages 4-5.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful book
My wife and I both really hate this book. When our son picks it out for a bedtime story we usually try to convince him to pick something else. It is really long and the story is very strange. My wife and I both really hate this book. When our son picks it out for a bedtime story we usually try to convince him to pick something else. It is really long and the story is very strange. The vehicles are in some strange state of semiconsciousness and it is unclear whether the humans in the story are aware of this. There is a lot of completely unnecessary detail, and the vocabulary in the book is too advanced for young children. Having said all that, my son (4) likes it. But if you are going to be reading it to your kids, pick something else.
