KitchenGrips is 3.5mm thick providing the ultimate in protection and insulation. Antibacterial/Antimicrobial KitchenGrips is treated with Aegis Microbe Shield to suppress the growth of mold and mildew and prevent microbial odors. It gives our product an added level of protection against damaging microbes such as, bacteria, mold and mildew that can cause stains, odors and product deterioration. The unique FLXaPrene™ material prevents stains that cause bacteria buildup. It is made of non porous material that also stops bacteria growth. Water-repellant Protects hands from steam and liquid burns, even when wet. It is safe to use even after rinsing under water. Material resists penetration of liquids through to your hands. Non-slip Grip Non-skid, textured surface engineered to provide a better, safer grip- unique textured fabric provides a safer grip. Stain-resistant Stains wash off unique FLXaPrene material with ease. Sauces, mustards and even grease rinse right off without staining. Care Instructions Kitchen Grips are machine wash and dishwasher safe - top shelf. I was a little hesitant that these would work, but I liked the colors and idea of an oven mitt that cleaned up since mine were badly stained from spills. These are not rated or advertised as oven mitts, but they work fine for handling Pyrex out of the oven. These are much thinner than regular oven mitts, but they work abut as well as an average mitt- not as well as heavy duty oven mitts.

On the plus side- when something spills on them, they easily rinse off. The colors are bright, they look different and high tech, and they are easy to use due to the thin material. On the down side they will burn (melt) just like conventional cloth oven mitts.

I love the Kitchen Grips mitts/pads. I've had my set for a few years, and they still look brand new. You can handle very hot pans safely, and if something sloshes or spills onto the pads, they rinse off easily under the tap or swishing through the dish water. I've bought these as gifts for foodie friends and they love them too. Rave reviews from many who slave over a hot stove. LOL

These are the best oven mitts I've ever had. They provide excellent heat protection AND still allow you a GOOD grip. In fact the grip these give is one of the best features of all. I don't know how I lived without them. They're easy to wash off too should you accidently spill something or touch something with them. Hightly recommended!
