A guide for playing Dune 2000 by Westwood Studios
It's a great book overall, and really helps the player get started and to finish the game successfully. Note however that sometimes it takes practice before the strategy can work for you. Nice book. I recommend it.

Dune and this book STINK!!!!
IF you really want a good strategy game, look at Westwood's upcoming release. The best game, Command&Conquer: Tiberian Sun. It is much better.

I'm a real Dune (the books and the movie) fan. When I bought the DUNE 2000 game the instruction book didn't go into detail about the options and didn't cover strategy at all. This book provided insites into the missions, gave some background into the players and made the game a real joy to play. My daughter came home for a visit and I had her hooked on the game before she reached chapter 5. Even my grand son loves the book and the game. LONG LIVE THE FIGHTERS!

I used to play Dune 2 for hours (maybe not hours but, a long time) So I wanted to play this.... yea I'm back at gaming in a way (wife hates it) Now I'm waiting for the newer one "battle for dune"... word

I purchased this book at EB (Electronics Boutique) at the mall for 9 cents. See if they have it before you shell out 18$. And yes it was a good strategy guide.
